Goodhood's 5th Birthday Cake

Made the lovely crew over at The Goodhood Store a cake for their 5th birthday, whilst they launched their pop-up shop of bespoke products in the gallery opposite. The after party was amazing too, perfect way to end the summer. And the cake even got a little mention over on Clash Magazine. Thanks guys!

Nails For Auria SS13

Nails i did for the Auria SS13 debut swimwear collection which has caused a storm of amazing press including mentions in Vogue, Tatler and the Evening Standard. Her pastel coloured hombre cut-out pieces were inspired by a combination of 80’s postmodern fashion and the Bauhaus movement.

Nike Flyknit Yearbook

Last night i went to Aske Gardens for the launch of Nike's Flyknit Yearbook, which features portraits I've shot of upcoming creatives; alongside my own face too. Really excited about this as it's the first time my work has ever been published in print. Big thank you to Charlotte and Zainab for getting me on board!

Nike Flyknit Re-Designed Jersey

With my basketball jersey design, my aim was to add to the aesthetics whilst maintaining it's practicality. Re- designed for a female, I chose to crop the jersey and add a net feature on the bottom half to represent a basketball hoop. This also contributed to the top being more breathable. Whilst researching traditional basketball games, I came across cheerleaders and thought it be interesting to incorporate their appearance into the jersey. From there it lead to me sewing weave onto the bottom hem and tieing the hair into a formation that recreated the pattern of a net. It turned out really effective.

Motown Dreamz

Last night I DJ'd dressed as Diana Ross (any excuse to wear an afro). It was a 'D' themed party for my sister's friend Dudley. I played motown and disco all night.

Nike Flyknit Shoot

Today was the last day of the Nike Flyknit Workshop on Formfiting - it's been such a fun week! The day started of partially naked modelling designer Rael Stone's Nike jersey turned dress, Susie Bubble was on hand to help with styling and concealing underwear - thank god!

Nike Flyknit Workshop

This week I've been taking part in Nike's Flyknit Workshop in London. Nike have put on a series of workshops inspired by their innovative Flyknit technology, and this week is based around Formitting. Fashion designer Astrid Andersen came into 1948 to present her basketball collection to us, which wasn't necessarily practical. However, her attitude towards sportswear mixed with high fashion helped influence more elaborate and exciting designs...

We were each given a jersey, asked to play basketball in them, noting down all improvements that could be made. A main factor for me was breathability as i got quite hot whilst playing! Today we started re-designing our jersey, above is my (unfinished) piece so far.

Tomorrow is the last day of the workshop where we'll complete our designs and photograph them with the lovely Susie Bubble.
